We’re getting We got married!

Welcome to Chris and Jenni’s wedding website. Previously, you’d find all sorts of information about our upcoming May 18, 2024 wedding—but that’s in the past! That’s right, we had a wonderful ceremony with a small group of family and close/local friends in Richmond. It was a little wet, but nonetheless beautiful!

Below, you’ll find a little historical information about our wedding, photos of the big day, and a video that summarizes much of the wedding if you weren’t in attendance!

Chris in 8th grade.
Jenni in 8th grade.
Our first trip to Hershey, PA in 2001.

We met in 8th grade.

It all began in 1997 during art class at Farmwell Middle School.

We were just two teenagers silently exchanging awkward glances throughout the year. It wasn’t until we signed each other’s year books, that we had any clue we both were interested.

Fast forward to high school. We had a brief relationship in the fall of our Freshman year but things really got started the summer before Junior year. We spent the next two years getting to know each other and falling in love. We became fully intertwined in each other’s lives. Chris attended Jenni’s cheerleading events and Jenni watched Chris play soccer and visited him at Goodyear. Jenni taught Chris how to drive and to ski. We traveled to each other’s family holiday gatherings and vacations. We attended church camps and went to all the school dances together. We went on dates to the movies and experienced a true Senior Year Spring Break trip. And of course we had many late nights partying and playing pool.

Since we attended different colleges, we made the hard decision to spread our wings and see what happened. We ended up talking all the time. It was quickly apparent that even though we weren’t officially together, we were never far from each other’s thoughts. We found ways to make the long four hour trip between JMU and UVA Wise and continued to grow our friendship. We really tried to be each others ‘best friend’ but both wanted something more.

After graduating college in 2006, we ended up in Richmond. Jenni attended VCU School of Pharmacy and Chris landed his first job. We rekindled our relationship and moved in together. Since then, we’ve made Richmond our home.

Over the past 27 years, we been fortunate to share so many memories and experiences together. We finished our educations and started our careers. We bought our first house and lived through a pandemic. We traveled to over 20 countries and named Portugal our favorite. We’ve ran and biked hundreds of miles throughout Richmond. We’ve shared a million laughs and supported each other through all of our rough patches. With each new experience, we’ve learned more about ourselves and each other. Our lifetime together has made our relationship stronger than ever and we are ready for this next chapter of our lives together.

It’s already been the ride of a lifetime and we are just getting started!
